one picture per page?

I will be setting this service up for my grandparents and I recently tried the presto preview feature. My question is if you send multiple pictures do they always print out one on each page? It seems that one page should at least fit two photos since they are scaled down. Otherwise it adds up to a lot of wasted paper space. Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

I wrote an email to the Presto people about where I could get my mothers Presto fixed and they send me to a users forum? Do they not have anyone working there and only the customers can fix it? Kinda strange don't you think? It also directs me back to Presto.com to the tech support part of the site.....why didn't he send the message to them? Sorry about this thread, but it would be great to get a stright answer from a website for once........

I'd really like to see a counter on the admin site of how many emails are queued and processed during the last connection. We are apparently at the mercy of "rural" phone service, and sometimes it connects, sometimes it doesn't. Knowing whether there are pending and processed emails will allow us long-distance-admins to know whether we have a problem or not.

Can the emails sent to her be forwarded to another email address or fax number until we get this resolved? Thanks!

Dear Julie, You recently sent an email to grammacorinne@presto.com with one or more attachments. Unfortunately, at least one of the attachments could not be printed properly. The above message was sent to a Friend of my Mother. Unfortunately, she did not send any attachments, only an email. And my Mother said she did not receive the email from Julie. I checked Julie's email address against my Mother's Friends list and it is perfect. Any idea what is going on here? Mark MacGuidwin

About a month ago I ordered the Presto printer, and a full year of Presto service, for my elderly parents. I was tremendously enthusiastic about the whole idea. I asked a bunch of questions here so that I would be well prepared. I went to Staples and bought extra supplies. I talked it up among friends and relatives. Well, that first effort was a disaster. Customer service was rude and misleading, and pretty much wasted a full day (11 hours!) of my time. There were other problems as well. I eventually gave up in frustration, anger and exhaustion. - - - - - - - - - - - - Several weeks later, I have rested up a little, gained some distance, and have ordered a second printer. Here's why I hope it might work out better this time -- (1) I know enough not to let Customer Service send me on another wild-goose chase. (2) I am no longer planning a vacation, and so am not under the same time constraints that I was. (3) I'm resigned to there being installation problems, instead of giddily optimistic as I was before. If it takes a couple of 100-mile trips to...

This won't be a priority, I realize, but perhaps it could be implemented sometime in the future. The calendar idea is a nice one. But it won't really help my parents to have a calendar that has no information on it. What would be really nifty would be a calendar that had birthday, anniversary, graduation, vacation, etc. information on it. Where I could enter the info that on, say, August 10 it will be Billy's 10th birthday; and that Jim and Joanne plan to visit on August 21st. That would be a real plus!

where can I get a converter?

I thought I had found a digital-to-analog converter to use with the Presto and Qwest digital phone service, so I ordered the Presto. Then I went to order the converter and I noticed a PDF users manual; looked at that and found that the converter is not to be connected directly to the wall phone jack (it goes between the phone & the handset), so I guess it's unusable for this application. Already tried Best Buy and Radio Shack stores. They don't have a clue. Since so many telephone systems around the country are now digital, why doesn't Presto have a digital version, or at least offer a converter as an acccessory? I've been working on this project all week, and this is where I've ended up ... a Presto on order and possibly no way to use it. So, is there any place I can buy one of these converters so the Presto will work for my mom?

Hi Peter, Sure hope you (or someone) can help me. I followed your GREAT email tip re setting up a google gmail calendar for the daily events at my 83 year old mother's Assisted Living residence, so she would not miss any activities she enjoys, but can't remember without written reminders. I set up the original google calendar up under the same gmail address as is shown under the Presto Account Manager (Me) but this gmail account is set up under my mother's name, not mine. I had a Daily Agenda email early in the morning, and individual event email notifications two hours prior to the event successfully coming into this gmail account, as scheduled, for several days. I then went into this original gmail account (under which the calendar was created) and through the "Manage Calendar" area ADDED my mother's emailaddress@presto.com to SHARE the original calendar as " See all event notifications ." I then went to Presto.com and added the original calendar gmail address to the Friends List, under my mother's name this time. I also added the following "Friend" as instructed: calendar-notification@google.com. So now both the gmail address for the original google calendar and the calendar-notification show...

Presto printing mailbox - prognosis for lightning surge survival?

The area where my mother lives hasn't had a recorded lightning strike for at least 50 years -- so hey, why invest in surge protectors? Well, the dry-lightning storm that hit central California last weekend, touching off more than 800 fires, was an equal-opportunity zapper. Two forks of one bolt blasted a couple of trees in my mother's back yard. Among the appliance casualties was Mom's Presto printer, which was DOA when I arrived to inspect the house. I'm wondering if the whole unit is toast, or whether the damage would have been absorbed by, and limited to, the printer's external power supply/converter box. If so, it would be a lot cheaper to get a new power supply than to buy a new printing mailbox system. Does anyone have any insight on how an HP Printing Mailbox handles that kind of major electrostatic-discharge abuse? Thanks in advance, Jim

I've sent 2 emails using tht address and still have no received a reply. I've checked my junkmail folder and made sure that the proper email address was associated with the presto account and still nothing. I know this is a new feature and quite possibly you're having issues with it at the moment but just checking up on it. I've actually yet to confirm she's actually received my first text test email as well.
