my 96 year old mother in minnesota has a presto and i am the manager of the account in Denver.  Frequently i get an "out of paper message and she doesn't get my emails even though her machine has paper in it and the out of paper light is not blinking.  any suggestions?  could the tray not be in all the way or maybe she is not opening the lid when she fills it?  please help me.   john skalet  jskalet@aol.com

We need to diagnose the issue and calling our customer service agents will help. They can access information about your Mom's machine remotely and this can help. Please phone them toll free at 1(800)919-3199 Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET.

Try resetting the firmware

Resetting the machine back to factory defaults helps some things, but not necessarily an incorrect "paper out" message. Anyone who reads this and needs help should contact our customer service people, or send me an email at ceo.direct@presto.com and I will escalate the issue to our head of tech support.
