I am wondering why the photos are so small?

My mom can barley see them.

Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks

Arlene

In many of our Presto Mail templates, the photos are about 4" x 6". We made them this size to be roughly equal to the standard prints you get from the photo development stores, and to not use too much ink.

If you want 8.5" x 11" photos, you can send them by creating that size photo as a PDF document and then attaching it to an email you send to your Mom. You will need to use a photo editing program to upsize your photos to the appropriate size and resolution. Presto users have told us that they put together collages of their photos and send them this way.

Remember, though, this uses a lot of ink.

Hi, I have a mother that's visually impaired and would need large print to be able to read an e-mail is it possible to setup the settings as an administrator that all print would at a minimum be font size 24 (or maybe larger)?

She really miss's out on a lot because see cannot read easily normal text size.

Thanks

The largest size Presto will print with its standard templates is 16 points. However, you CAN create documents in ANY point size, save them as a PDF, attach to an email and send to your Mom so she can read them. You will need a PDF creator program such as Adobe Acrobat or a third-party program. The ability to create PDFs is built-in to all Macintosh computers. Window's or Vista-based PCs need to have a PDF creator program installed. See more information on my blog post here:

I am wondering why each photo is printed on a separate page when it seems like they could be formatted to fit on the page.  This is also true of text.  The one line of text sometimes prints out on one page with the photo on another page.

Dear Make it Easy:

It all depends on the size and orientation of the photo, and the length and point size of the text. There are "rules" within the Presto system that govern how the photos are presented. The main point is that the photos are "properly" presented at all times, with no cut-off pictures, etc. There is a facility for putting two photos on subsequent pages. Just try sending 4 photos with a brief note. You should see one photo on the first page, two photos on the second page, and the final photo on a third page. You can try this yourself by using Presto Mail Preview. Visit: http://www.presto.com/wip_prestoMailPreview.aspx

Hope this helps,

Peter

I have tried this and the pictures print out small with a separate one on each page. I have tried pictures of varying sizes and the same thing happens. Also text (subject line) prints out on one page and the picture on the next page.

It could be that your email client is embedding the photo as an HTML object. Presto treats these as embedded HTML as opposed to attached photos. One thing you can do for sure is size the photos in a graphics program and save them as a PDF (Adobe Acrobat) file. Then attach this to the email and it will print out precisely as you sent it.
