I keep reading how easy it is to hook up the Mailbox to the phone jack.   But how does one do that?  

If there is only one jack, do I need a splitter?  

Please advise -- I don't want to arrive at my parents' home (80 miles distant) and discover I can't hook it up.

The Presto Printing Mailbox includes an extra jack and internal splitter so all you need to do is 1) plug the provided phone cable from the mailbox to the wall jack, and 2) the phone that was previously plugged into the wall jack into the second mailbox jack. It really IS that simple.

Thank you for your reply. I did think it must be simple, in large part because *no one* was complaining that it was difficult. However, I do feel better now that I know just how it's done.
