This would be a great help with the initial set up of the machine.
At this point Mom (82 years old, down in Arizona) has not been able to connect at 6:03 pm on Friday, May 16, 2:54 am on Saturday May 17, and again at 7:07 am, with the next scheduled time 9:10 pm! At the first three of these times, I (here in Colorado) receive error messages informing "We've noticed that ****'s Printing Mailbox's cover is open". Well it is NOT open. The blue ready light is on, yet it doesn't work. There just has to be a better method to set up this device initially!

I read on one of the postings about a 'force dial' command, but I don't see it documented anywhere. Is there a way to force the unit to dial the mother ship for testing rather than waiting for the next scheduled time?
thanks.... bill
OK, here goes:
To initiate a "force dial" teach your Presto user to do the following:
1. Press and continue holding the "stop" button
2. While holding the "stop" button down, press and release the "+" button twice
They should hear the Presto tone and the Printing Mailbox will then dial in to collect mail (if any is there). There is no indication that the printing mailbox is doing anything while dialing and downloading mail.
Depending on the amount of mail pending, the dialing process should take about five minutes or less (more if there is a lot of mail). Any downloaded Presto Mail will then automatically be printed!
Hope this helps.
