My Mother (a relatively new and very happy user) told me that a day or so ago, at 4 am, the printer made some noise similar to what it makes when a mail is about to print, but of course nothing printed.  Then about 45 minutes later it happened again.  Never before (at least that she heard - it is next to the bed) and not yet since.  Anyone having similar experiences or know the cause?   Curious.  SteveM

This was initiated by the Presto Service and was routine maintenance. It was done on purpose, and I don't expect it will be repeated anytime soon.

Thanks, that was my initial guess (but just a guess).  It was not really a problem, she just wondered about it and I thought I would ask.  It might be good to provide a warning to new users that this is a possibility.   Thanks, SteveM

We'll consider that. It is VERY infrequent, so we didn't want to confuse people. Thanks much.
