I would like to see Presto's sever status displayed somewhere.  I bought one for my 77 year old mother for christmas.  She really likes getting e-mail from all of us but it hasn't received a single message since yesterday at noon.  It would be nice to know if this is a problem with the server or with moms presto unit. I have already been through the entire list of troublesooting steps.  There have been many e-mails also sent to her so they are out there someplace.  Thanks

We are contemplating the idea of including a system status section on the Account Manager web site. Thanks for your comments here. As for your specific problem, there haven't been any service problems in the time period you mention, so there may be something up with the HP Printing Mailbox itself. To verify connectivity, etc, can you please phone our customer service people toll-free at (866) 428-0970? They are available seven days a week at the following times:

Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET
Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET

They can diagnose the connectivity issues remotely if you give them some information about your Mom. Thanks and please post the outcome of your ordeal. I'm sorry youare havinga problem. I bet we can get her back online in no time.

Thanks for the quick response, after several forced dials mom is back in business and happy as a lark!  This has really given my mother a different outlook on technology and she is always checking to see what wonders are waiting for her.  I really don't understand why there are not more people posting about this unit, it's great!  When we set it up I let mom do all of the connections herself to show her how easy it was.  My sister has even purchased one to keep her work and family e-mail seperated.  I say bravo!

Thanks, Bruno. Presto employees have previously worked at Palm, WebTV, Apple and other companies that have succeeded in creating great user experiences. Our goal was to "do technology right" for people like your Mom and it is heartening to hear your kind words.
