I am connected to a good phone line and used some of the tricks mentioned in other forums but no luck, am this going to be a problem since I set it up using a different pots line (analog)? What is going to happen when he gets home and connects it to his permeate phone line and no mail comes through? Maybe I should have waited until he was home to set it up.

Transferring Presto from one phone line to another is no problem. The HP Printing Mailbox will just need some time to dial out, find the right dial-up number and report it's new number back to the Presto service. Could you elaborate on what luck you are not having? If you sent mail to the email address you set up for the HP Printing Mailbox owner, are you sure you put the email address you are sending from on the Presto Friends list? So you see any kickback messages from the Presto service in your email that could indicate your mail did not go through?

Most people don't experience any problems, or they have forgotten to add an email address to their Presto Friends list (i.e. you added your home email, but are now trying to send from your work email, etc.). Certainly, this is one reason we have dedicated service agents at the following number to help you get up and running with as little pain as possible:

Presto Customer Care representatives are available seven days a week:

- Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. ET
- Saturday and Sunday, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. ET

You can call them toll-free at (866) 428-0970.

Come to find out there were a few reasons it didn't work. Since it was a Christmas gift it sat for 3 weeks disconnected after the set up and caused the unit to hang up due to no activity and items were in que to print but no where to go. The other issue was the local number it was trying to dial had a problem, the help desk reset the mailbox account and inserted a toll free number to access mail and started working.

For those of you looking for a secret code to resetting your mailbox their isn't one, all you have to do is unplug the power for a few hours and plug it back in.

My dad is getting his mail.
