Vicki, I don't think your question is relavent to the users of this board. The users of this board are most likely the administrators for someone with a Presto. Someone who uses a Presto isn't going to have Internet access, therefore won't have access to this board.

Do you use your Presto on a daily basis to keep in touch with people, or do you just check your inbox at certain times of the week?
My thinking is that some here have parents or grandparents that they've bought a Presto for. Others may have a Presto to communicate with friends/relatives who don't have internet, yet those Presto owners still have internet as well.

Yes, that would be a "Presto Administrator" and that person would use this message board, but your original question would not be applicatable to a "Presto Administrator."

The Presto only recieves messages so you can't use a Presto to communicate with a person, i.e. send to a person, who doesn't have Internet access. Only people who have Internet access can send to someone who has a Presto.
I'm really not sure why you would think this, but you're entitled to your opinion of course.

I'm not sure why you'd believe that someone with internet access can't (or wouldn't) use a Presto, but they most certainly can.
My two cents:
The PrestoPlace community will most likely appeal to frequent users of the Internet, and therefore within the Presto community, most likely appeal to account managers rather than the people who have an HP Printing Mailbox in their home. However, as in the case of my mother-in-law, she indeed does have a computer, and loves to browse the Internet to check up on some special user groups (she likes Beleek porcelain, et al.). However, she also uses Presto because it is so much easier for her to receive email, especially to print those with attached photos.
Only time will tell how many account administrators vs. end-Presto-users will be PrestoPlace members, but I would guess it is many more of the former rather than the latter.
As for how often I use Presto, multiple times a week sending items to my mother-in-law.

I agree with Peter. I certainly do see PrestoPlace becoming a valuable community and resource for Presto account adminstrators than I do actual Presto users. Of course, when I think of some folks I personally know, I could see some cases where a Presto user would be online and able to browse websites, but not have the technical skill or desire to manage an e-mail account, print pictures, and all those other things that make online communication more difficult.
My future mother-in-law comes to mind: she can turn on a computer and get online, browse pictures if they're in a folder on her desktop, and loves to web surf (she probably gives QVC.com 1000 pageviews a day). But, she doesn't use e-mail, do photo editing, or really print a whole lot. Plus, I don't think she'd get too involved in a user group, post messages, or be active in threads. However if she were a presto owner, she'd probably lurk here and read the discussions... just not participate. I think that would be common of anyone who relies on Presto for mail but also has web access. Only time will tell of course.
In the end, I want to make this site for the folks who manage and rely on Presto as a communication tool to keep their parents, grandparents, great uncles, and others connected to the family. To have others give advice on how to get your sister in law to take some pictures of the kids and send them to Mom, give a reason to send a message to Dad each day, and make share their thoughts and suggestions on how Presto can improve their offering to make it even better for us that rely on it.
