I can't imagine Sling Catcher at all hurting Presto sales because Presto is being used by people who, to some extent, have "given up" on the traditional technology solutions, i.e. a PC, Internet connection and a suite of peripherals. People who have Presto don't have an Internet connection and many don't have any kind of PC. To use SlingCatcher, the user would have to have a broadband Internet account, which by definition, means there is a PC in the household. Although SlingCatcher sounds really cool, most likely the people who use it and the people who use Presto will not intersect at all. Although both products are cutting-edge, highly cool products, Sling is aimed at the tech-savvy market, and Presto is aimed at the tech-shy market.
Thanks for bringing this to the Presto community's attention. The people at Presto know the people at Sling and they are a great new company. We wish them the very best.
