CALL FOR INTERVIEWEES: from D.C./Virginia/Maryland

Dear PrestoPlace Members:

Presto has been contacted by an award-winning, nationally recognized radio broadcaster looking to do a story on Presto. They are asking us at Presto to provide them with the name of a Presto user and their daughter or granddaughter in the Washington D.C./Virginia/Maryland area. I thought I would throw this out to the PrestoPlace community and ask for your assistance in providing a nice viewpoint into how Presto has changed one family's life positively. I'm sure this will not be too much of an intrusion since it is radio.

Would any of you please help us out by agreeing to be interviewed? It makes a big difference to everyone here at Presto. If you are interested in helping, please send me a PrestoPlace private message with your name, email address and phone number plus the name and presto address of your Printing Mailbox user.

Of course, you are not committing to anything until you have more information. I'll be glad to tell anyone who contacts me more about this opportunity. Thanks, in advance, to anyone who is willing to help.

DEADLINE: Please respond by Monday, May 19, 2008

Thanks again,

Peter Radsliff, VP Marketing -- Presto Services, Inc.

Dear Mr. Radsliff:

Read your post on Presto Place regarding DC/VA/MD interviewees.  Want to request that Presto (the company) consider some heavy advertising in the smaller towns of Virginia/Tennessee area.  Many Seniors that live amongst the Applachian Mountains would be greatly interested [I'm positive] in Presto Services.  Maybe check towns that intersect with Rte./Hwy. 23 with connections to towns such as: Weber City, Kingsport TN, Gate City VA, etc.   The reason I have gone through the trouble of registering for Presto Place is that there exist a huge, untapped Senior Citizen market in those towns that have relatives all across the USA that they need to keep in touch with {other than by telephone).  Also, because many internet services in those areas have priced their bundled/stand-alone internet service way over what most Seniors in those areas can afford to pay.  I recently spoke with a female Senior that was just shocked at how much money the only telecommunications service company in Gate City VA area wanted her to pay (just to keep her cellphone and cable TV working) for a bundled package deal.  She has a computer but with no internet connection because of the high price charged for such services.

Needless to say, I begin to think that this is ludicrous for companies to charge Seniors such exorbitant prices!  I really believe that Seniors all across America should be given FAR lower rates by EVERY Internet Service Provider.  And that those companies charging Seniors exorbitant rates should be shamed, exposed and legislated to set and implement much lower prices explicitly for their Senior Citizen consumers.

The whole idea makes one wonder:  What in the world are American businesses thinking or better yet -  Are they thinking at all?   Obviously not!!!

While many seniors may have investments, etc. there are just as many on low-fixed incomes.  I believe that American business owners should be addressing that fact and implementing specific solutions for each and every Senior Citizen in the U.S.A.

I am not looking for a reply or any recognition.  I am only putting this out there in hopes that others will discuss this issue and in order that solutions can be implemented VERY- VERY SOON!

I sincerely thank you for your valuable time and attention to this important and far-reaching matter.

Regards,

Anaco

SENIOR CITIZEN POWER!

We live in Alexandria, VA right outside of DC. We are buying these as Christmas gifts for family in east TN, western North Carolina (Cherokee, Sylva, Waynesville, Asheville). The older folks in our family will absolutely love them.

Anaca is right - the Senior market is an absolute goldmine with these products. At least you'll make a small fortune off the monthly free from our family anyway! Discounts for more than one monthly plan would be a dream!

Interestingly, we have found that Presto is primarily purchased by adult children for their senior parents. My guess is that seniors themselves may be interested in Presto, but it is hard for them to make a purchase decision because 1) email may seem like a foreign concept, and 2) because Presto is new, it may be difficult to trust/believe.

A great idea would be for someone to take on the task of being a Presto evangelist in different regions. The Presto company would be very interested in hearing from individuals interested in evangelizing Presto to their friends and neighbors and would be willing to pay a commission on every sale. Anyone who is interested in this, please contact me at peter.radsliff@presto.com. Thanks!

Hi Peter,

I just saw this thread about Grandmother/Mother/Daughter & Call for Interviewees from DC/Maryland. Have they found their "interviewees" or are they still looking.

If still looking please contact me.  Grandmother (with Presto & Alzheimer's) is in an Assisted Living facility in Wisconsin about 15 miles from myself, the daughter. (I am the person that you successfully helped set up the Google Calendar Event Notices.) My daughter, the granddaughter lives in Bethesda, MD (15 minutes outside D.C.) and she absolutely "loves" Presto" sending Grandma pics and emails almost daily. In fact, she said she would pay the monthly cost, if it ever became an issue in Grandma's budget. My daughter and I would both be open to interviews to highly endorse Presto and share how it has changed our ability to communicate, in a meaningful way, with our loved one suffering from Alzheimer's.

Let me know if they are still looking. Thanks, Sharon Patrick Shelton
