I'm a reasonably tech-savvy guy, but I overlooked something when putting together my first Presto mailbox...

In order to install the print cartridge, the printer (mailbox) has to be powered on.  This is because the carriage that the ink cartridge sits in is trapped to the left when you pull the Presto out of the box.  When you turn on the unit, it moves the carriage over to the right to be in position to receive the ink cartridge.
